Malo e lelei Presayus. I am so excited to see that you have joined our Summer Learning Journey programme this year! I love that you have chosen to visit Germany. It is such an interesting country. I had the chance to go to Berlin a few years ago with my sister, Leigh, and we loved it!
We stayed on the east side of the city (close to the where the Berlin wall used to be). Did you know that the city of Berlin used to have a huge wall that went right through the middle of town and separated the east side from the west side? People who lived on the east weren't allowed to visit the people who lived on the west side (and vice versa). Fortunately, the wall was eventually taken down (in 1989) and the people of Berlin were allowed to visit one another again.
I hope that you will continue to blog with us this summer and learn more interesting facts about Germany. A few of my good friends are currently living in Germany and they will be blogging with us as well!

I'm Mark, a teacher working for the summer learning journey with Rachel. It is so cool to hear why you chose Germany! You might be surprised, but I haven't heard anyone use those reasons yet, so I know you are genuinely interested. I can't wait to see what you have to say about it.
Something you won't know about me is that my brother moved to Berlin about 3 years ago and he loves it over there! I have visited Germany as well. It is a really amazing place. Did you know the logo for Disney is based on one of the castles found in Germany? I love visiting castles, so learning this was really interesting for me. If you copy and paste the below link into your browser, you'll be able to see which castle I am talking about.
I really like that in your "about me" section of your blog that you want to find out what you are good at. You might be surprised to hear a teacher say that most people are not instantly good at something, instead, I might suggest you try find something you LOVE doing. For example, I LOVE the idea of drawing, but when I first started I was not very good at it. But now after many years of practice I can draw anything!
I hope that all helps and I am really looking forward to see what you are learning about Germany.
